You just can't appreciate fine wine by guzzling it. The wine needs your attention and the time to seep into your senses. It isn’t about emptying the glass. It’s about playing with each swallow with your mind, as well as your mouth. It’s the same with great music.
At Annas Bay, we want our audiences to have fun looking for the flavors, colors and textures in the music we present. We want to unveil the process, so you can see what it takes to create and perform art music. So at Annas Bay, while you won’t find a lot of black ties, you will discover lively, informative programs; interesting opportunities to interact with the artists; and thought-provoking experiences that will help you develop your own insights about the music.
This means the music needs the right setting, and for us, that means warmth and intimacy. At most Anna’s Bay events, you’re likely to be just feet away from the performers, and provided with ample opportunities to meet and talk with them, both during and after the performance. So the venues we choose to perform at tend to be pretty special: intimate, beautiful, and most often, also in a setting of spectacular natural beauty.
Elmer & Katharine Nordstrom Great Hall

Anna’s Bay enjoys artist-in-residence status at Harmony Hill Retreat Center, which also the co-hosts the Raised Voices sing-along events and generously sponsors our community Chorale activities.

It is the physical symbol of the college's two-decade evolution into a comprehensive community college. The Center's 500-seat Main Stage theatre and Black Box theatre provide home stages for the college's Theatre Program, and music students enjoy classrooms for choir, instrumental music and electronic music, as well as practice rooms and a secure place to store instruments. The building houses a general art lab, a ceramics lab, a lab for drawing and printmaking and an exhibition gallery for the public to view student works.
